HTact-ileskin Motus™ Flexible Tactile Skin (Torso)
Overview
A large-area tactile covering designed for robot torsos. 256 sensing points at a density of 0.44/cm² register large-area contact from the front, back and sides — collisions, pressing or hugs. The ultra-thin, flexible material leaves torso movement unimpeded while delivering reliable body-surface pressure-distribution data for safe human-robot interaction, obstacle avoidance and posture sensing.
Features
- Large-area tactile coverage: 256 sensing points register contact from front, back and sides
- Detects collisions, pressing and hugs as large-area contact patterns
- Ultra-thin flexible material leaves torso movement unimpeded
- Body-surface pressure data for safe human-robot interaction, obstacle avoidance and posture sensing
Applications
- Safe human-robot interaction
- Collision / pressure sensing
- Obstacle avoidance
- Posture sensing
